Podiatrist/Foot & Ankle Surgeon
Dr. Austero is a highly skilled foot and ankle surgeon with a strong academic background and extensive hands-on experience. He completed his doctorate at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he held several leadership roles and earned multiple scholarships and honors. He went on to complete his residency training at the prestigious Hoboken University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident during his final year. Throughout this period, he successfully completed over 1,300 procedures, gaining invaluable experience across a wide spectrum of cases, from soft tissue surgery to complex rearfoot trauma and reconstruction. He offers a variety of non-surgical and surgical options for various foot and ankle conditions, which span from platelet-rich plasma injection therapy and radiofrequency coblation to minimally invasive surgery and rearfoot trauma fixation. As a previous NCAA collegiate athlete and a proponent of staying active, his goal is to get patients back on their feet as soon as possible. Dr. Austero holds board qualifications in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS).
